The bold, selfless acts of one determined individual contributed to the freedom of many: Harriet Tubman. “The Black Moses”, as she was often called, is well known for leading many enslaved people to freedom in Canada through the Underground Railroad in the 19th Century by following the North Star.

International Women’s Day 2022 is on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. The global celebration is marked annually to acknowledge and appreciate the social, cultural, socioeconomic, and historical accomplishments of women. This day focuses on raising awareness about gender parity, women’s safety concerns, health, basic human rights, financial equality, and many more social issues.
Purple is the symbolic color of International Women’s Day (IWD) 2022, while the combination of Green, Purple, and White colors is meant to represent women’s equality.
